Maintaining Our Water Heater
Monday, December 20th, 2010
Inside every house these days, there are at least one or two appliances to help us adjust with outside climate. One of them is air conditioner, the other is water heater. This two although share almost the same but opponent idea, require different maintenance. Water heater, as it runs by water, usually include minerals and rust threat. Minerals can cause scales to form then cover pipes and other systems while rust is of course, may probably send our water heater straightly to waste.
To let the device last longer we need to know how to maintain the product. First, it is always good to clean your water heater annually by draining the valve, allowing any excess out. Second is to replace anode rod according to its lifespan. If anode rod doesn’t get replace when it’s required, the tank will develop rust then slowly leaks. Third is to watch our water pressure. Too high pressure can cause water heater to work extra hard before then starting to get weak, resulting in system’s explosion. Although this three steps looks easy but are often forgotten. Last said, it is always easier to keep maintenance regularly rather than spending more money in fixing your devices.
